Since one week can't play online: error message appears. I have reported this error and got a responce from developer and a promise to fix it soon, that's all!
I can't recomend a game with such a bad support!

It Is a good game to play against the machine and problem solving, but it is very sad that the online does not work as it should be, in real time. Recommended for those who want to play against the machine. For the online nooooo.

I played Pure Chess Up and down on the PS3 at the TIME-and loved the Game. It is visually one of the most beautiful Chess games ever and, in Combination with the great Sound background, ignites a beautiful Atmosphere. Ideal for a few Games after Work to get down.
I cannot comprehend the negative Ratings so far-these must come from underused chess Grandmasters. ^^ In any Case, they don't live up to this Game.

Pure Chess is exactly what I was looking for as a hobby chess player.
No 1000 Settings of a Fritz and Co. Just a Board, many beautiful Figures that you can put on it and 8 Levels of difficulty.
With a few Clicks you are in the middle of the Game and can make the Brain work and have Fun over a Cup of Coffee. :-)
Clearly, is not a Kasparov chess engine and does not want to be. For This it looks very pretty and enough IMHO for the "Normalo" To feel more than demanded.

Very few styles of pieces, very few chess boards, a very limited and complex visualization amplitude to master... Graphically, it's been outdated for ages and there is nothing more than in the trailer!
For its part, the ergonomy is not much better, the options are reduced to the minimum Union and the engine does not look very violent either but, I confess, I did not have the courage to go beyond the fourth level that still lets fight without resistance.
for beginner from beginner... and again!
I regret that I put a few euros in there.

Holds far less than it promises!
The AI is on the first two (of six) Levels, just strohdoof! Sorry, you can't describe this "Sacrificial chess" any other Way.
Online mode is a simple Disappointment. Despite allegedly almost 70,000 online players, I managed to play a Game of half-fluid. Even there, but my Opponent, three Moves ahead of his Matt, just refuses to keep playing. Now this Score blocks me from one of the six Slots. Just stupid solved!
The other Randomly mediated games do not get off to the Start, or are already left after a Move when the Opponent is up.
Too bad about EUR 12.
