Rampage of The Decoy Droids is a first-person horde shooter! Take on hordes of multiplying decoy droids as you attempt to stop an experiment gone wrong. Shoot them all to hell! Rewind Time! ANYTHING TO STOP THE DROIDS!!!

We took the GameJam topic of Decoy, and thought about enemies using decoys to survive longer.  Sprinkle in a little shadow clone magic and here we have Rampage of The Decoy Droids.

We focused on the  idea of "distraction  with decoys"  when designing  the gameplay.  We wanted the enemies to protect themselves using decoys, not only as bullet shields, but also to obscure the player's view. We also tried to balance the amount of enemies to draw the player's attention as they build up in numbers on screen.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Open Rampage of the Decoy Droids.zip

2. Run Rampage of the Decoy Droids.exe

3. ENJOY!

All of the assets used in the game were made by The Alchemist member Nhlanganiso Tshabangu, save for the gun and the capsule shaped enemies (excluding their skin) that we sourced from Unity.

Nominated for Best Game, and won Best Technical Game for Campus Game Jam 2022.
