About

Reflex Arena is an old-school arena shooter that updates the dizzying speed and demanding precision of a classic arena FPS with the power of modern gaming technology. If you spent your youth gibbing your friends in Quake III Arena or Unreal Tournament, then Reflex Arena is what you’ve been missing.

Reflex Arena recreates the lightning-fast twitch gameplay of the golden age of first-person arena shooters. It’s the best of both worlds: the speed and precision of a classic 1990s shooter, reborn inside a bleeding-edge 3D engine custom-built for the latest gaming hardware.
In the 21st century, first-person shooters abandoned the brutal purity of Quake III Arena and Unreal Tournament, but indie studio Turbo Pixel decided it was time for a comeback. There are no chest-high walls to take cover behind here, and no profound insights into the horrors of war—Reflex Arena is nothing but fast, competitive, first-person fun.

Reflex Arena reviews and comments

Hello, I have been playing Arena Shooter for about 15 Years now, again and again with little Breaks in between. With Reflex Arena, the Developers have succeeded in creating a really good A-FPS. He's fun from the first Minute and the old Quake 3 feeling comes back again. Although There are differences in the Movement, these are rather positive. The Weapon Behavior compared to Quake 3 is also a little different e.g. the Rocket Launcher has a smaller Radius in the Splash Damage. I can recommend only Reflex Arena to People looking for a quick Action game. Greetings, Fridolin

Early Access Review Anyone Who likes fast arena shooters modeled after Quake 3 Arena will love Reflex. Regardless of The early Stage of Development, Reflex's Game mechanics are already mature and balanced, at a Level previously presented only by the Godfather himself. Everything points straight in the Direction of a semi-pro/pro-compatible gaming, from the Features To the Game Mechanics and gives an idea of how much the Game will later implement the good Role model of the old Titles and, instead of DLC and XP-Unlocks, again far-reaching Support of Configs and Skill-based Gameplay. Reflex has what It takes to become a big Game and a Purchase offers the Chance to improve that chance by Supporting the Developer and end up a terrific arena FPS that is already doing everything Right. Conclusion: In Development, high Potential and my personal Hope for the Future of E-sports in THE Field of FPS.

Early access review a good FPS arena that focuses on the community for maps. The map editor is complicated to take in hand, but once you know how to do it, you can make excellent maps. The idea of the mutators (rulesset) is not bad, they offer extra fun. After, the only problem is that it lacks players: I fall too often on the same people, I would not mention the number of times I crossed a certain "Keivkur", "Hello I'm a person", "SyV"..... (I probably made mistakes on their nicknames) just to say how much this game is totally unknown, and also seeing the number of servers having players: they count on the fingers of the hands. It's a shame that a game with a good idea is so unknown! Another problem: the number of game mode there are only classics: FFA, TDM and CTF (and again, there is a race mode, but I see no great use). One can certainly turn them into "arena" with the mutators, but it remains classic game modes that some often play in FPS arena (like Quake arena). It would be a lot of extra game modes. Otherwise, it's still a good game, which does not need a lot of resources to play (and this is a plus if you compare it with the next "Quake champions" that will surely ask for gigantic ressources). There is a lot of fun and the fact that the maps are provided by the players gives unlimited content.
