Requiem: Avenging Angel reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Russian
Do you Often play games that are almost 20 years old? What are you saying? 15 more for You? It's Okay, it's never too late to start! And seriously, I somehow missed Requiem: Avenging Angel passed by myself, which came out at the turn of the century. The 1999 Game of release is played quite cheerfully even today, but with some caveats, but about everything in order. The Game was published by 3DO, which is known by the publishing house of the most popular series Heroes Might & Magic, and in 2002 covered its shop (or renamed, I do not know). However, the Steam game was released by other publishers, which is good, and that's why... At the very beginning of the game, our hero is in the heart of the Underworld, around the howling and moaning and men, entangled bloody biomass... Sometimes they jump out of the midday-half-inosaurus... Melanie (the name of the main character) has some magic and at the beginning very actively uses it for killing demonic bastards. A Little later, from Hell to the world of the living, we arm ourselves and already by physical weapons destroy all the soldiers-sectarians... The Game does not support the Russian language, and I was not looking for a russifier, so I can say nothing about the plot, I only know that our hero is not a simple man, but something like a warrior of Light, and came to purify the world from the Devil's moles. On the way to various locations we will meet a few demon bosses, defeating which we get to the final credits. In Total story we need to pass 3 acts. At the end of the second act I met not killed Lilith (even on difficulty level Easy)... Having remembered Demonsu (or himself?) half an hour, I went to look for the gaydy on the Internet... But I did not find any details on her murder, so I wanted to remove the game and forget it as a nightmare, but I was crazy and turned on the "God Mode" using the Cheat code. Yes, for a long time I did not yuzal cheats... Psycho-crazy. And so I liked it, that I went through the entire third chapter without disconnecting the cheat of immortality, dropped the main villain, watched the final video clip and played the game to all the hell. So here... Despite the oldschool complexity in the beginning of the game is quite easy, the main to get used to the control (the default movement is not on the WASD, and ESDF, which I have not used for 5 hours of play, that's how much I spent time on the passage). On Q & W change weapons, on A choice of magic, Tab use buttons and open doors... In General, you'll understand. I spoke in the beginning about the Underworld... Yes, naked demons and martyrs in Hell... It was still 19 years before the release of Agony, but one thing I can say for sure, Requiem looks "so-so" even by the standards of 1999. Compare the picture (better live), for example, with Unreal Tournament 1999. Requiem is definitely weaker than the legendary Unreal... And more like Quake II (1997 by the Way). But in our time it does not matter anymore, we just play, if we like the gameplay, and in this respect the game is all right. And The last thing: the game does not officially support the resolution 1920x 1080, but it can run nGlide_config. exe from the game folder and select the desired numbers in the options, and then run the game on Steam and do not go into the settings of graphics (so as not to knock). The Game will feel great after that and on the steep large monitors, but the main menu will still be a wretched resolution of the screen (even just for a pause). I remember reading about this game back in the local newspaper (!) about video games... Gold were times. 1999 gave us the chic games that have become classics: the aforementioned Unreal Tournament, Medal of Honor, Driver, Silent Hill, Aliens vs Predator, Age of Empires II, Grand Theft Auto 2, and the most beloved by me Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. So here... Requiem: Avenging Angel does not hold any of these games, but nevertheless it is not necessary to write off it in the scrap! I would like to play with pleasure today in any continuation or restart in the modern version (something like that was with Shadow Warrior), because the atmosphere of the crossed cyberpunk with the infernal environment still delivers. Very similar to the extramarital child Doom and Quake... More games like this today! Other Games I passed ^_^
