Rescue The Princess (Aashiq Ahmed)

The enemies are spawned randomly so you will not encounter the same enemies every time you play the game.

Power Ups:

There are two powerups in this game: The Brown Mushroom and The Star.

Initially, you start with 3 lives. You can collect more lives by collecting the brown mushrooms by hitting the question mark blocks.  But, these mushrooms are scanty so you should try to avoid death.

You can collect stars by hitting the question mark blocks  to become invincible. "Invincible" means the enemies will not be able to kill you so you can kill them just by hitting them but this powerup will last exactly for ten seconds after which you will resort to normal and the enemies will be able to kill you again.  You can still die if you fall of the platform when in "Invincible" mode. Being invincible only prevents enemies from killing you. 

How to Boost The Score:

You can kill enemies, collect coins, collect powerups and you can even try to finish a level as soon as you can to boost your score. 

The game will end once you reach the princess who is in level 6.

Fixed Bugs while testing(in early access)

Only the player should be able to kill the enemies but even the powerups manage to kill it when they jump over it. (Fixed)

One enemy intersects with other enemy. (Fixed)

Known Minor Bugs:

The play game button navigates to the level directly instead of showing "World 1-1" and then navigating to the level.

The first mushroom in the first level behaves a little strange.

How long did it take you to develop this game?

It took me about a couple of months to develop this game. I want more quality rather than quantity so I took my own time to develop this game.

Are there any bugs/glitches in this game?

Well, this game is finished and has been tested thoroughly. There may be a few minor glitches here and there but there must be no game breaking glitches. If you find any bugs , please contribute to improve the quality of the game by posting your experience in the comments below.  

Is this game completely free?

Yes, this game is completely free to download and play. You don't need to pay anything.

Can I get access to the source code?

Yes, you can get access to the source code by clicking on the source code in the downloads. Getting access to the source code means you can create your own version of the game or you can use it for learning purposes.

Do I get access to the models, materials, sounds, music etc.?

All of the models, materials etc. can be either found in the Unity Asset store or can be downloaded from jvunity.com. The characters are from the Mixamo website. So, I don't have permission to redistribute these assets. I can share only the source code because I wrote them myself.

Will this game run on MacOS and Linux?

My computer uses Windows operating system. So, I don't know whether it will run on MacOS or Linux. But, I've built the game on all the three platforms using the Unity engine. I hope that it would run on MacOS and Linux as well. Just ensure that you download the MacOS version of the game if you are running MacOS  and download the  Linux version of the game if you are running Linux.
