RPGolf
About
Once upon a time, the kingdom was a land of peace, harmony, and an all-consuming passion for the greatest sport - GOLF. Everyone in the land played day and night, and soon the kingdom itself was turned into the most beautiful course the world had ever seen. The land was happy. The land was good.
Until the monsters came...
In its obsession with golf, the people had become complacent, leaving the kingdom open to attack. Hole by hole, dungeon by dungeon, the monsters emerged and drove the people off the course. And a great sadness fell across the world.
Then one day, a brave girl appeared, determined to play the finest course in the world. Armed only with her golf club, she would set forth to play the nine legendary holes. But first, she would need to rid the land of the monsters...
RPGolf is an exciting blend of classic JRPG with 8-bit golf. Relive the nostalgia of the classic gaming age, but in an exciting new mash-up that combines the best of both worlds.

Product received for free sometimes, by mixing two completely different game styles, you may find yourself with a rather successful recipe. This is the case of RPGolf from the Japanese independent Studio ArticNet, which wanted to mix an RPG and golf. But it gives what in the end. This is our express test.
At the discovery of RPGolf we start with the history very well found it must be said. You will control a young and brave girl who has only one desire, finish the golf course of this beautiful village that once was peaceful, and filled with passionate for golf.
The problem is that the course is now invaded by hordes of monsters that will not let you finish the 9 holes of this beautiful Kingdom.
Armed with your Golf Club, you'll have to play 2 shots in 1, finish the 9 holes, while killing the monsters that invade the world.
Said like that we find immediately the wacky game, but starting the story, we meet all aspects of a classic RPG to the Zelda like.
You start at the first hole, where a Sensei will teach you the basics of golf, nothing very complicated, because one stays on a game style very similar to a classic golf game with different clubs, distance, and of course the power. Each hole will have to be made in a number of strokes to be able to advance to the next. Unfortunately, on some of the holes the force of the wind will have an impact on your success by mandatory, but it will also help you with the realization of bogey or Eagle, which will not bring you anything more, we would not have said no to a nice gift for some of our e xploits. You must also know that the lower your life, the more you lose power, clever.
From the first hole, you'll meet your enemies, once again your club will be your weapon to take out the monster, which will only drive you off the road throughout your adventure. Still a very simple system, we use the keys of our keyboard to give a simple blow or a strong blow.
Like any good RPG that respects you, you will also have the possibility to find various equipments that will be very useful for the advancement in your quest for victory. A golf glove, will be there to help you attack the watches remotely but not that because the different gloves you will find, have attributes of fire, ice... which will be very useful to access the other holes. With each new hole, a dragon will speak to you, as the story goes, you will understand a little better what is really going on in this realm and why it was invaded by monsters. We are not going to reveal everything, it would spoil the pleasure of the future players.
The mapping offers a truly immense exploration, which is full of secrecy, but also of Dungeon of all kinds with bosses more at least hard. sometimes even you will have to look for a good time how to access some places, and it can be said, the developer is a small hiding place.
The 8-bit style of the game really gives an RPG style of the time, there is nothing extraordinary about the graphics of the game, we stay on a good old classic of the years 80-90 with Chiptunes just as retro but sublime in some of the dungeons.
Some bosses are a little more worked than others, but they have all their fighting styles, and some will test your reflexes.
Finally, it can be said that RPGolf falls into the bunker, but manages to get out despite the mixture of two completely different styles. That said, the RPG side is very quickly made and offers us very little choice of equipment, and the 9 holes are done pretty quickly. Too bad because the idea is rather good and in the end we ask again, especially golf.
Small detail, the game to lags on OBS Sutdio or classic, tested on several different PCs, the problem persists. Note sent to dev, more than waiting for a response.
Editor's note 6/10-original idea, Chiptunes sublime, but we get bored fast.
