Shiftlings reviews and comments

Looks can be deceiving.

Cute looking but annoyingly difficult. Not a game to play with kids with finnicky controls and physics that quickly take away the fun.

The protagonists of Shiftlings are two very ugly aliens, reality meat of the galaxy, who participate-without knowing-in a kind of Big Brother created especially for the old people who spend the morning looking at the works. Like some Pepe Leak and spatial Otilio, they dedicate themselves to making years of the galaxy, fixing everything that is ruined. The two brothers are always stuffed in their astronaut suit, and they are attached to each other by a tube, where they share the air they breathe. In one of his last adventures, one of them drinks a soda drink that causes flatulence that make the suit grow exaggerated, which will make the two friends have to try to do their work with this new state. Each level of the game will have a main goal, an excuse, usually fix something that doesn't work. Which simply means getting to a certain level place and then having to go back to another point. As our protagonists are joined by a tube, they cannot be separated beyond a certain distance and being one of the characters larger than the other, the two cannot go through the same narrow corners. By "Luck", we can alternate the control of each character, moving each one independently and exchange the gas from one character to another, enabling a character to pass through a place after his partner. At first it costs a bit to get used to the controls. As we are accustomed to so many games of jumping and shooting, it is not trivial to get used to two completely new actions such as changing character and the exchange of gas, so it will take a while to get used naturally. Passing The first levels won't be a problem, getting the main goal is not too complicated at first, but it will be harder to get the 3 optional bottles. We will have No idea how to catch them at first, but the game will "teach" us at later levels where we will be required to think about what we need to do to achieve the main goal. The story, as we have seen at the beginning, is a mere excuse to contextualize the characters and explains why the limits that mark the gameplay of the game. It is Not necessary or try to become important, after the small introduction the menus are transformed into the typical screens to select level and play, but it is there and continually noted, with some jokes quite classics that-to me so Less--I have not been made too graceful. If There's something frankly funny, and for what looks like Shiftlings, it's the local multiplayer. Really The collaborative experience is hilarious, makes the game much easier and contributes much more than what four eyes see more (and better) than two. If you like platforms and have a friend or relative close to sharing a command, Shiftlings is your bet.
