the player and the enemies have one life, and the player only has a magazine size of one. you must navigate the arena, picking up ammo and killing enemies to clear the map.

disclaimer: i made this completely solo as my first ever game jam. resources in credits section of menu. i spent most of this game jam focusing on under the hood randomness. i know most of the game looks plain, but i'm happy with the little ways i managed to add variety. 

4 examples i have are:
enemy footstep sounds are chosen from 6 similar sounds and 2 different ones

the enemy has 2 attack animations that are chosen randomly

each individual spawner has a 1/15 chance to spawn every 3-5 seconds (until wave is filled.) there are about 37 spawners, the wave count starts at 5 and goes up by 2 every wave.

the ammo spawns have a 25% chance to spawn a piercing rounds, and then another 25% chance to spawn another bullet.

it's far from perfect, but i am happy that i was able to learn a lot about ue4. thanks for checking out my submission!
