This is creative outlet through gaming.
Love to build? Love to adventure? Love to craft? Love to push the limits? Or just play it casual?
Solace Crafting is the product of decades of the joy and misery we gamers are subject to every day.
I've been there.
I want it to be different.
It won't be perfect, but it will be sincere.
Never again do we need to see everyone using the same weapon or wearing the same armor.
Never again do we need to see a castle crumble to the ground from fussy physics.
I started out years ago specifically wanting to change the way games approach crafting and procedural content. Several years and many notebooks later it's all coming true. All I need now is your support!

Solace Crafting will be actively developed for years to come whether I have to keep my day job or not. My current goal is to somehow, someway, raise enough money or sales to quit my day job so I can actually make a dent on my gigantic todo list.Immediate Goals:
  1. Get a demo out to streamers, press, and Steam curators
  2. Raise enough money to go full time via Kickstarter or Steam Sales
  3. Spend the rest of my life developing Solace Crafting and it's descendants (unless Starfleet becomes a reality)
  4. Continuously run events to incorporate community made icons, recipe ideas/models, enchants, buildings, etc.
  5. Make an attempt to encourage good sportsmanship and a positive attitude amongst game communities

* Multiplayer, and all of its many features will absolutely be implemented when full-time development becomes a reality. Multiplayer will be largely PvE in structure and grief prevention/anti-cheat will be our first priority. Until then or a until a solid beta build is released, the game will remain single player.

The best is yet to come!

Solace Crafting reviews and comments

Early Access Review "How would a world be without limits?" That's what I thought, after reading and seeing Solace Crafting, where the only limit "will be" your imagination! Please NOTE: Do not take this game if you expect a complete experience, because it is not at present. After These premises, I start by saying that as you read in the description, at the moment the game is developed by a single person, a player like us, who wants to put passion in what he does. I've been keeping an eye on S.C. since its debut, it's been 3 weeks now and I can only say that I have never seen so many updates in an early access game (and I'm following most of the games in development) so this already in itself , it should make you think about how much the developer cares about his work. Also the players are very active in the report bugs and problems within the game, to show how even the community believes in the game. The game itself, already offers a lot in what allows you to do, between crafting and building, something there will always be done, also has a customization of the character, to be envied by many other games of the genre. The first time I tried it, I had no problems or bugs that ruined the initial experience, indeed the fluidity of the game is not as bad as you might think of a game just coming out. Once you have entered the game (English for now), in the Game menu ("Help") there is a small initial guide on every aspect of the game, some aspects of the game may seem unintuitive (like crafting or building) but once you learn little by little, it will be more Simple than you think. For the moment, you already have many roles available such as The Fighter, Swordsman, Healer, Archer and magician, all with the skills and weapons exploitable at the same time! The world is structured according to the distance from the player's point of birth and as it progresses, even the surrounding environment will be more dangerous and new things will be discovered (improving the equipment, building your own city, adding turrets/ NPC guards). With the latest patch was decided to put a beta (breach testing) where the latest updates will be released, unlike the normal version of the game that will be more stable than the beta (mainly to test the new additions and problems/ Resulting bugs). Many things are planned to be added, such as multiplayer (PvE), City with custom NPC and where players can trade or other features, just take a look in the discussion of the forum to get an idea. The exit from the early access of the game instead, is scheduled in about 6 months. Conclusion Finally, as it is now the game, I recommend only to those who want to support the game and do not expect much, but as a gaming experience, already offers a minimum to be satisfied, the price will not change at the exit of the game, so the decision is yours, if Now support the game and contribute to its development or buy it at a later time. That Said, good exploration and give vent to your imagination!
