Solar System (itch) (ranton)

This is a solar system simulator for the course project in the Coursera course: Game Design and Development 1: 2D Shooter

The modifications I made to the original scene were:

* Add all the rest of the 8 planets

* add rings and ring texture for Saturn using a flattened cylinder and rings edited from a NASA image of Saturn

* Change main camera view to look down at a slight angle

* adjust sizes, speeds, and positions of Sun and planets so that while still far from scale they can look at least relative in order of size and all show on the screen.

* adjust minimap camera view to fit the scale of the adjusted scene better.

Instructions

* For the Windows version unzip and run the included EXE file. Press Alt+F4 to quit when done.

* For the macOS version after unzipping you will likely need to Control click on the included app and click open to get the dialog that allows you to run an unsigned application. To quit when finished press Cmd+Q.
