Soul Separation

WARNING: This game is HARD.

YOUR SPIRIT WAS SEPARATED FROM YOUR BODY. Dodge enemies and obstacles while staying in your souls bubble.

We put a lot of effort into this game and hope you enjoy it!

THIS GAME WAS MADE FOR THE 3rd GDEVELOP GAME JAM.

Almost all of the pixel art was drawn during the gdevelop jam.

Use the A and D keys to move, W or Space to jump, left click to fire, and right click to change weapon.

Note: Because of knockback you can do some pretty cool things in this game. Cool mechanics:

I woke up one day to find my soul,

Gone astray, leaving me whole.

A chase begun, a quest to find,

The part of me that’s left behind.

A boundary formed, a ring of light,

Where my soul and I must stay in sight.

The journey leads to depths below,

Where the devil waits with an evil glow.

Forever bound, we’ll never part,

My soul and I, forever in my heart.

A final fight, a desperate plea,

To reclaim my soul, my very being.

Reclaim your soul, hero, rise,

For the quest is yours, and the prize is life.

Fight for what’s yours, don’t let it slip,

For a life without a soul, is but a bitter drip.

     - Jump high by firing with your blue gun right after jumping in the opposite direction of the jump.

     - Dash by moving where you want to go, and fire in the opposite direction
