What is SQUARE SQUAD?

SQUARE SQUAD is a local multiplayer game where you basically have to catch a small orange square that pops somewhere in the arena and bring it back to a base. You'll have to collect as many orange squares as possible to be the best but you'll have to be careful of the ennemies and of other players that'll try to steal you the square by dashing on you!

You'll find some bonus that also pop anywhere in the arena. Some of them will help you, some others will bother your opponents.

You can play up to 4 players using gamepads and if necessary, one player can use the keyboard.

How it works?

You and your opponents start in what we call a base. This is is blue area with orange dotted line. Somewhere in the arena you'll see a small orange square. You basically have to catch it by moving to it and then bring it back to the base. 

Depending on your preferences, you can have extra ennemies that will try to catch you. Be careful, you'll lose a point each time you get caught.

You'll also find some bonus on your way. Here is a description of what the do. Go to the bonus to collect it and the use the left button of your gamepad to trigger it.

You win a point each time you bring a orange square to the base so hurry up, you only have 60 seconds!

You can dash using the right button of your gamepad. Note that if you dash on your opponent while he's holding the square, you steal it! Tricky but useful

Anytime you can adjust the speed and number of ennemies, bonus and orange squares by hitting the settings section. 

You want to play with your keyboard?

You can play with your keyboard but only for one player.

To add a player from the lobby press S + E, then F to confirm or D to cancel. You can move your player using your keyboard arrows.
