S.T.A.R - Seeking To Acquire Results

Description:

This is a Job Interview Simulator that aims to help people practice interviewing with a game that can't actually judge them, whilst keeping engagement up through the gameplay. It wants to give them inspiration of how to handle certain situations, good questions to ask, and help them demonstrate their experiences by practicing short chronological formulas such as the S.T.A.R method.

Our player faces the challenge of having to roleplaying their way past interviewers. In a sense going to a job interview is already a sort of social game, which is what we want to express with this medium. We encourage our player to think of a job interview as a social engineering practice where they have to “hack” their way into the job, but doing this by perfectly honorable means, such as adapting experience towards what the company might be looking for, choosing what to say, or bring up.

How to play, Mechanics & Features:
The Game starts with a brief that contains keywords that are clues for later answers.
Button Mashing - Press space to deflect.
Order STAR-technique (Situation, Task, Action, Result) from top to bottom.
Multiple choices can give different art reactions.
Score weighting of the choices.
Score based win conditions.

Future Features:
Expansion of the mini-gameplay modes.
Timed questions.
Adding post interview evaluation explaining your score.
UI.
Audio.
General Polish.
We're going to "Meme it up", exaggerating reactions and adding cartoon style drama to the art and narrative.
