Not only is the Collectors CDROM Edition missing-it also crashes at very regular Intervals when trying to access the Map function, Logbook, Or Mission goals within a Mission.
Back to the Drawing Board and at least brings the existing Collectors Edition to play flawlessly-then it's certainly worth the Money.

Tie Fighter is absolutely awesome! I Spent hours playing The Game over 20 Years ago. At that time, however, I didn't have a Special Edition and it is precisely this that is Part of the Game today. The Graphics have been significantly improved and that's exactly why the Game is really Fun. The Controls, while complex, are easy to learn. After a few Minutes, the first Handles are already sitting. In the Simulator, you can gain the first Flight Experiences before you go into Battle. The Battles are tactically well thought Out and provide hours of Fun.

I Knew that there was an X-Wing franchise for a while but I never ventured to try it either because of compatibility problems of the original disk with the new Windows operating systems or the fact that there was no version either in GOG or Steam.
When I found out they had made a port for Steam I bought it. Over The course of a year I've been doing missions until two days ago I finished it. JUEGAZO.
If you are looking for the definitive experience of Star Wars, if you are looking to drive TIEs Teninedo at your disposal a huge control over the action, if you are looking for a campaign from the point of view of the Empire this is your game.
P. D: Highly recommended to play it with joystick. I bought one expressly for this game XD. If you are looking for a cheap and quality I recommend the one I bought: (Logitech Extreme Pro 3D).

Well, what to say ... A Fight raged on this Planet almost a long 25 Years ago ...
This Game, like X-Wing, is a Pearl of ' old ' Time, who expects current graphics and great Effects here, as well as single-ball Through to The End Credits, should now leave this Page and look for another ' game '. But All those who are willing to work out the Success, are quite fruit-resistant and can memorize two three Dozen Key assignments are allowed to get the Pilot Suits out of the Cupboard.
TIE-Fighter is a Simulation in which one fights on the Side of the Empire against the ' evil ' rebels and ' disobedient ' own Moffs. To the sometimes already quite crisp Mission goals, you also get (if you want) special Instructions from the imperial Secret service.
You start off as a ' simple ' Pilot in a pathetic TIE fighter and can take it to the Imperial General in a TIE defender over the course of the campaigns.
So If You have become a little curious and meet the Above requirements, sign up today in the next Imperial Recruitment Office-For the Empire-
