Static Mist

Static Mist is a first-person horror game where you must explore several fog ridden neighbourhoods in an attempt to escape the monstrosities roaming the streets. Sneak through back alleys and run through gardens to escape the monsters grasp. Static Mist has you avoiding several different types of monsters, all of which are on high alert, and will give chase if they discover you.

Static Mist v1.0.2 includes:

• Player movement. Walk, run, crouch, and jump your way through the game!
• Retro aesthetic with PlayStation 1 shaders and a CRT style camera.
• Explore several sinister environments with lighting setups and unique models.
• Enemy pathfinding using Unity's AI library. Monsters patrol a set of random paths, and will chase and attack if they spot you.
• Original sounds and music made using Ableton Live 10.
• Interaction system. Open doors, unlock locks, pick up items, and more.
• Inventory system. Manage and use items, picked up items appear in the inventory where you can manage them.
• Settings page. Change various game properties through the settings menu.

Controls

• W, A, S, and D to move the your character.
• Move the mouse to look around.
• Press and hold shift to run.
• Press left control to crouch.
• Press space to jump.
• Press E to interact (pick up items, turn on switches, open doors, etc).
• Press Left Click to execute the equipped items action (swing bat, etc).
• Press tab to open inventory.
• Press escape to open the menu.
• Controls and game properties can be changed in the settings menu.
• Controller supported!
