Steam Marines
About
Steam Marines is a squad based Roguelike set on a steampunk spaceship. It features tactical play focused on positioning and careful use of resources. Built to keep you on your toes as you progress through the decks of your besieged ship while clearing enemies and trying to reach each level's elevator.
Permadeath
Build your marines up into long range or up close death machines, but don't expect any mercy. Death is permanent and fallen marines are gone forever. Finding survivors not guaranteed.
Turn and Squad Based Gameplay
Command up to four marines, each with their own gear, talents, and Action Points. Positioning is critical - even a lone enemy can be lethal! Sight and snipe or funnel enemies into a choke point and blow them up!
Procedural Generation
The steampunk spaceship is composed of multiple decks you must progress through. Different environments and creatures await, and you'll never know for sure what lies beyond the next corner.
Score, Difficulty, and New Game Plus
Get rated on your overall performance. Manage to fight your way past 30 levels of mayhem? New Game Plus offers fresh challenges. Four levels of difficulty with one being for the truly masochistic!

Early access review rogue like are fashionable, but can offer the crawling Dungeon side that we expect of this genre. Steam Marines (add COGS and call it steam punk) is a dugeon crawler with a squad management, I do not know if it is the early access but the game is really not very user friendly and newbie friendly, it will ask you a lot of trial before the game can be carried out in a fluid way.

"Steam Marines" is a Game with an ingenious Concept: Group-based lap strategy meets Roguelike. Unfortunately, implementation leaves something to be desired. In a Case like this, I find it hard to punish the Game with a plump red Thumb down. It is at most average-but not an absolute Disaster for a long time. In particular, many Small Things disturb me, such as the confusing Interface and the Fact that the Figures can only shoot outright. Nor is there a Coverage system, which shrinks the strategic Aspect to a rudimentary Minimum. I bought it in the sale at the Time for two or three Euros. This Investment paid off for the few Hours of moderate Entertainment, but I would not advise anyone to spend more on this Game.

Early access review steam marine is a Roguelike, a true, not a game that will attempt to usurp an identity to stay in the wind. In the manner of a Dungeon of Dreadmor or a sword of the Star: the pit, the rendered copy is almost perfect. The codes of the genre are respected to the letter, with in digression a sci-fi atmosphere that would not deny James Cameron.
But here ASCII character point to represent your team but rather "pixel art" graphics perfectly adapted to the genre. We are actually very close to a tactical board game at the space marine.
The management of the visibility is classic but effective with in addition the management of the sound: your Marines inform you about what they hear.
However, compared to other roguelikes, a novelty changes the hand: the destruction of the walls. Here it is possible to break elements of the scenery and Ditto for aliens and other robots. As a result you never really know where the danger comes from.
In conclusion, steam Marines is a very good Roguelike, even better than those quoted at the beginning of this notice. If you like the genre, the atmosphere of science fiction and tactical games, go for it, this game is perfect in its genre.
My note 18/20
