About

HEAR your fear.

In Stifled, the sounds made by your in-game character and yourself through *microphone input reveal the otherwise hidden world through ‘echolocation’. However, undue noise will attract the attention of creatures lurking in the darkness. To survive, you will have to tread the line between making sounds to see, and staying quiet to stay hidden. (Put the microphone near your nose for even more challenge!)*Microphone Input
  • Microphone input is recommended but not necessary.
  • Sound generation can be replaced with a key input if you choose to.
VR Support
  • Stifled currently supports the use of Oculus DK2, Oculus CV1, and HTC VIVE headsets.

Please direct your support questions to our Steam forums.

Stifled is the spiritual successor to our award winning student project, Lurking.

Stifled reviews and comments

Product received for free Horror, which is not a horror, but rather just a story, with a great soundtrack. The Atmosphere and ambient is amazing. Not a Bad idea, but it hurts monotonous and tightened gameplay. For the best effect is desirable to play with the microphone and headphones. Not necessarily masterpieces, but always games that are worth paying attention

This game is beautiful Atmosphere, sounds, sound all wonderful But there are a couple of nuances-those who do not have a microphone-will be tight-the game is designed to sound And play in the headphones) Otherwise-will not komfritno Skimerov-as such there is no, there are enemies, but they are the most general To me Liked the Story-there is a Plot-there are Graphics-in general acceptable Optimization-there is So that I can recommend it to purchase) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi0XOORBfxk

Product received for free Gattai Games is a Software House in Singapore caped by Justin Xiong, game designer with a small free game from the simple but extremely original concept. Lurking was created as a school project, and is basically based on a unique gameplay mechanics. Through The short adventure we will not be able to see the surrounding environment and the only way that we will have to discover what surrounds us will emit sounds through a microphone. The fact that everything is framed within the survival horror helps a lot to identify itself, because the more noise we will and the more surrounding enemies can hear us. Stifled starts from this concept, becoming a spiritual sequel to his predecessor and going out on the market with support to HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Playstation VR. The actual debut of Gattai Games then fished out of that school experiment a few years earlier, recycling the concept, the graphic style and part of the game mechanics. What He adds is a somewhat confusing story that maintains a certain fascination, a development of mechanics and some formal passages of great impact. Stifled will open in a bedroom, while we hear in the distance a piano. After getting up and coming out of our rooms we understand that we are inside our dwelling. Downstairs we see what is supposedly our wife, but once we get off to reach it we understand that something does not come back. The woman will continue to escape in order to become fleeting in some of the rooms that make up the villa, until a sudden change of scene changes the tone of the situation.
