Stroke of Madness: Memories reviews and comments
This game is kind of short but it's pretty good for what it is. I know that not everyone likes the art style but I thought it was okay, it's not as good as the art in some of their newer games. I think the writing is also decent too, there's a coherent story with some side plots as well.
The only problems I have with this game are that it can be a bit tedious because you have to re-enter all rooms at least once to interact with everything, the game is a bit cryptic at times if you aren't using a guide or haven't played before, and lastly, there are some interactables that just blank out the screen and give you a game over with no rhyme or reason. These are all mostly minor issues but I thought they should be mentioned anyways.
The last thing I want to mention is that I was able to play this game on both Linux and android but I did have some issues with both. With Linux, I had to run the game through Wine and it working mostly fine but fullscreening the game caused my computer to really freak out and rearrange my open windows. With android, I wasn't able to run the game in JoiPlay but it ran somewhat fine in Winlator, I just couldn't fullscreen the game because it would crash and my controller only seemed to work with progressing dialog and I had to navigate the game mostly with the virtual mouse. It's possible that another controller would have worked in Winlator but I didn't feel like trying a different one.
