Sundered reviews

I had a great time playing this game. It doesn't hold you hand, so can be disorienting at times trying to work out which way to go or what upgrade to take. However the art-style is fantastic. The combat and upgrade system are also very enjoyable. The bosses and some zones in the game can be extremely difficult. The difficulty level of this game is a bit like playing Diablo, but starting on Nightmare/Hell mode. There will be zones where wave after wave of monsters attack, and you develop a sense of when to evade them and move on or when to stay and fight. I am personally stuck on the final boss, having put the game on hold for about 1 year now. I'll get back to it eventually just to give it another go.

I got this Game as Part of a Bundle and actually had quite a lot of Fun for some Time until really started to annoy me. For a few Euros I could definitely recommend the Game, but not for the full Purchase Price you charge here. First For The good: The hand-drawn Graphics are pretty and the Action is fast-paced. The Level Of difficulty is adjusted and pleasant. Just by being infinitely pursued by many Opponents and so forced to Fight, you can say that without Grind you are usually in a good Level for the Challenges. The Combat System is simple and fun. But: The Opponents are so uniform and poor in Animations to a large Extent that the pretty Graphics do not come into Their Own. Some People are more likely to see old flash animations. Only with the Bosses the full Effect has been achieved. The Backgrounds, on the other hand-due to the randomly generated cards-are always absolutely sterile and bland. The same goes for the Story: It's conveyed in such tiny Morsels and just via an Off-voice that it's completely passed me by. You can play Hours anyway and you can't notice any of it. The worst thing about the Game is Backtracking. Every Time you get killed and every Time you Restart the Game, you're sent to the central Hub. At the Start of the Game that's not a Problem yet and you at least liwn on neatly through the Running. Later, however, as everything branches out from the central Point, the Paths become so far that at some point I no Longer felt like it.

A fun Metroidvania, which, thanks to procedurally generated Dungeon dispatches in a fixed overview Map but unfortunately contains more Generic Material Instead of the first development title "Jotun," Which is visually and in terms of content, so that the first development title "Jotun" is stingier in terms of content. In Sundered we are someone who beats his way through a Kind of Hell in three different Areas through 3 thematically Different Largeanials, revealing more and more the map, wandering into Mini-as well as one of the first three Main bosses-and is always on the lookout After the next new Main Ability, which, among other things, makes us sit, special Doors or us with the Gripping Hook swing forward. By the way, we collect Tons of Mini-plinters-the Currency of the Game-with which we unlock new permanent passive values in a very large and nested talent tree, as well as equip Other collected Passive bonuses. With each Bonus payment, the Price of the next also increases, which is why Accumulating wealth is a constant, but thankfully automatically done without Much active Assistance. Because if we don't play at the slight Degree of Difficulty, which is basically "normal" and the "normal" is then rather difficult here, dying, Improving, Improving is also a very common Thing in this Rogue-like Metroidvania Title-especially at The monster horns sections, where you simply dance infinitely to Enemies and you either want to Subdued as quickly as possible to collect a special Item there-or just to generate massive Money. All in all, the Game is a Lot of Fun-but the automatically generated Dungeons miss The Uniqueness and Recognizability of the Levels. Especially since the Title can be easily got through at 10h. What remains is a temporarily addictive Feeling of play, crass End bosses, beautiful and useful Skills, as well as a well-functioning brisk fighting and Transport System:)
