Super Meat Boy reviews

Opening impressions were not bad. I like the little meat boy trails. The gameplay is going to be hard but it does control pretty well. Feels tight. Not sure if it will ever draw me in fully but it could be a good pick up and play for 10 mins kind of game. Or maybe I get really into it. Hard to tell.

I got stuck on the boss from the first world for a bit. I almost retired the game but I thought maybe I’ll give it another go at some point. Then I did and I beat it and I’m happy I did. I still don’t know if I’ll fully beat this game. But I’m having enough fun for now to keep going.

I’m in Chp3 and I’m liking it more each chapter so far. The challenges are fun and difficult. Sometimes frustrating but mostly just fun.

Just beat hell. Very hard. I liked it.

I’m on chapter 6 the end. This game is very fun, very challenging, and it’s continually grown on me. I don’t play a ton of platformers but this one may be the hardest I’ve ever played? Some of those challenges are ridiculously tough.

I thought i was going to play this game in short bursts. 10 or 15 minutes every here and there but I ended up bingeing it instead and beating most of the game over 3 evenings where I played a bunch. You need to get into the rhythm of the game I found out. Plus theres a lot of “one more try” going on.

Dr. Fetus is really kicking my ass. This level is tough.

Finally beat Dr. Fetus and then there is a second part where you are escaping with bandaid girl. I assumed this was a separate level because when you die you just start from that second half and there hasn’t been any mid level checkpoints so far. So I exited the game, decided I’d beat the next level later, and when I come back I realize that it’s all one level and I need to beat Dr. Fetus again. Devastated.

Beat dr fetus again and this time also beat the pat segment. Holy fuck it was hard. I think this is the hardest platformer I’ve ever played.

God damn this game is hard. I thought Dr Fetus would be the end. And he kind of was cuz credits rolled but then there is one more world where you play as bandage girl. It’s even harder. I may end giving up. I’m not sure. I got credits so I can convince myself I beat the game and this is extra. But I also kind of want to truly beat all the light world levels. We will see. Definitely not touching dark world.

Ya just give up on what I am calling bonus levels because I got credits! Maybe someday I’ll return. Probably not though.

Final Score: B

Hard as balls
In «Super Meat Boy», you'll be running, jumping, and sliding as a small but brutally brave meat man.

His mission? To save his «bandage-made» girlfriend from the clutches of the villainous «Doctor Fetus». Sounds simple, right? But believe me, you'll have to push yourself!

This game is ruthless. It doesn't forgive mistakes, but it teaches you how to level up. You'll encounter levels filled with spikes, blades, cannons, and even lasers - all of them want to see you dead. The game has a ton of different worlds, and each of them teems with its unique enemies and obstacles.

The soundtrack in «Super Meat Boy» just rips! This powerful music makes you move faster, jump higher, and strive even more. It creates an atmosphere of tension and excitement that intensifies the drive of the game.

 Just give it a try.

Right in Advance: Not recommended for People with weak Nerves and zero Stamina. Personally, I just think it's good! It is completely challenging but all the more satisfying when you create a Level. It has nothing to do with Luck that the liquid Game control tests the skill lvl of the Player! I personally think the Music is good and appropriate to the Game. The Graphics are also in full order for this complex Game. There are also many Characters here that you can unlock and have all the individual Techniques on it that can make some Levels easier. A gripping Story doesn't have it, doesn't do anything to the Point either, but for that Humour and wit viel. The Addictive Potential here is also very great, because the Levels are not too big and you quickly reappear around ... To be killed xD. The Price for the Game is completely okay. I have Played it 13 h and there will definitely be more Hours to come ^^ Little tip at the ride: Controller is recommended here!

Pros:-One of the best and most varied Level designs in the entire Industry-Genial earworm soundtrack that you won't forget Anytime soon-Precise control with the Gamepad-Very humorous and funny Cutscenes-Very coherent comic look, With entertaining meatclotz sounds-The replay feature at the End of each Level is a great Gimmick-300 Levels in 5 + Chapters that maintain a nice Learning Curve-Unlockable Characters from other Games (The Kid, Bitrunner, etc.)-An optional level Editor and Massily Additional Level-Timing is a very important Factor-There is an online and friends leaderboard to compete with other Players or Friends-Very stark speed-run potential (so what some Players do in this Game is incredible) Cons:-Questionable Hit boxes that are sometimes confusing-Many trial And error Passages, which could deter Newcomers-The Control by Keyboard is very unpleasant-The Game can not be minimized As surely an Error will occur conclusion: Super Meat Boy is A suitable game For frust-resistant Masochists who are looking for a bock-heavy Platformer And love Challenges. The Game has made for broken trigger buttons and a sore Index finger. I like to take that on myself, though, to play through the Game. It was rarely so satisfying to master a Level skillfully. Even with the Boss fights, which have been designed interestingly, you can't get around the full Concentration. What I personally love about the Game, however, is the excellent and varied Level Design of the individual Levels, whether dark, pixelated, contrasting or even traumatic. Note: Nothing for Vegetarians!

Hardest game I've ever beaten.
Super Meat Boy has a pretty steep difficulty curve, but it's also a very rewarding experience. Once you get that rhythm down and you zip through levels flawlessly it's incredible. The frustration is outweighed by the fun.
