SWORDMIN'S DREAM is a minimalist fighting game I'm making to teach myself how fighting games work at a programming level, so I can go on to make a silly maximalist fighting game about bears.
currently it's two-player only, and you need at least one controller to play. keyboard is supported though!!
keyboard controls are as follows:
- J/I/L are light, heavy and kick respectively
- K is block
- WASD/arrow keys move
please report any weird bugs you find!! the big three I already know about are:
- the character select screen sometimes goofs up and has one controller controlling both characters (just back out and try assign again)
- the cancel system sometimes breaks and lets you repeatedly cancel moves too early
- when both players die when one has 3 wins sometimes it goes for another round
anything else is unknown to me!
