Tender (CupheadFG)

What is Tender? Tender is a game about dealing with loss and the process of moving on and caring for those who have passed on in the act of remembrance and ritual. In the game you take the role of a Grave Attendant who’s main jobs is garden maintenance and arranging Memorials at grave sites for the recently interned. The character isn’t awarded with Money to gain new things, but is instead awarded with gifts for maintenance and memorial construction. Memorials are completely up to the player to create but the player is given a photo album for context of the items to be placed at the memorial.  The Intent

• Death should feel permanent, it is not something that can be reverted or change.
• Funerals and Death care is a celebration of the life of the person, not a lamentation that it has ended.
• Every person is important, even background characters should have some story to them even if basic.
• The player should be able to make themselves feel comfortable and safe, even when surrounded by death.
