Tezcatlipoca
About
Tezcatlipoca is a third-person horror game inspired by genre classics with “tank” controls, such as Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil. However, unlike those titles, combat is not a core mechanic — the focus here is on exploration, puzzle-solving, and a chilling atmosphere.
The game aims to capture the essence of a simpler era in horror gaming:
Dialogues with exaggerated voice acting,
Stories uncovered through scattered notes and environmental details,
And a dark, confusing narrative open to interpretation — like a low-budget B-horror movie. The entities, myths, and apparitions are inspired by Mexican folklore, offering a unique horror experience deeply rooted in local legends.
Story
Minerva returns to her hometown, Tezcatlipoca, after receiving a mysterious phone call. Her family hasn’t answered any messages or calls. Worried and confused, she takes the last bus to the village... but after falling asleep, she awakens in a nearly abandoned town shrouded in unsettling fog.
Now trapped in a place forgotten by time, Minerva must decide:
Will she dive into the shadows of the past, or escape before it’s too late?
