The Chemist
About
In The Chemist, working hard and managing your resources well is as important as making the right decisions about your life and your work. Making the best out of the contracts and the resources available to you, you’ll find yourself creating recipes for all sorts of different liquids and finding answers to your questions like “what would happen if my fruit soda could also be used as a soap?”. As you get more and more famous, certain companies with grand plans for the world may start watching your steps - should you choose to deal with them, you’ll witness the results of your actions shape the world. And whenever the stress becomes too much to bear, you can always throw around some flasks and watch them shatter to pieces; or just take out the trash. It’s good for your soul. Bad for paying the rent.
Mix and earn: Choose from hundreds of different contracts, be it an AC cleaner or a soy sauce recipe, and progress through the story as you make both a living and a name for yourself.
There are also some...particularly shady concoctions that you can make a huge profit from. If you're the risky type, try to master the dark side of chemistry right down in your basement!
Don’t be afraid to try new things! A tasty motor oil, a hot pepper flavoured cake cream; why not! Be mindful though, when you’re creating a shaving gel recipe that can also be used for...other purposes, things may get out of hand rather quickly.
Event based gameplay : Your decisions will have consequences. It may be about your private life, your career, or even the fate of the world. The rich content of events will keep surprising you. By rich we mean, as of now, close to 800. Just don't ask how we came up with them...
There is always a mastermind plan brewing. You’ll catch the eye of some very powerful companies as they try to make the world a better place or simply to take advantage of you. Whatever their goals, your dealings with them will change the world in an all too visible way.
Use your resources wisely: outright completing a contract may not always be to your benefit. You may have to save up on some particular resources as their prices rise up due to seasonal storms or the president’s digestion problems...

Early Access Review The Chemist is one of the most promising early access Titles in a long time. The Concept is very simple: You are a rundown Chemist who works from Home. You get Offers to complete various Jobs for the Industry. Demand ranges from Food and Cosmetics to Cleaners and Insect Toxins. To do these Tasks, you have a comprehensive Arsenal of Chemicals at your disposal. You should now mix these Substances in order to produce a Product required by the Industry. In doing so, it is important to comply with Requirements and to comply with the Required Tolerances. For successfully completed Orders, You will be rewarded with Money and Exit. In Addition, special Events and Storylines can be triggered during Contracts, which are on the one hand very entertaining and on the other hand form the Background Story for the Game. When and which Events are triggered depends on Your Formulations and Your Reactions to events that are already going on.
I had no Crashes or other serious technical Problems in several Hours of Play. Performance is impeccable with me (i7 4770, GTX970, 32GB Ram) and also in terms of content, the Game already has a lot to offer, even if it probably won't captivate you hundreds of Hours in front of the Screen. The Developer is very committed, active in the Forum and open to Suggestions and Wishes. Bugs are fixed in a short Time and the Community is still very small but friendly. The Price is quite reasonable for the Scope and Quality of the Game.
The Chemist follows a simple Concept, has a Depth of play And requires a little Training time and Experience until you have familiarized yourself with all the Chemicals. Just crunching together doesn't really lead to Success. There is still a bit of a need to be screwed at the Level of difficulty. I've been playing at the lightest Level of difficulty for a couple of hours and I can just keep myself afloat Like that. A few smaller Bugs are available, so for example the Garbage Can always doesn't work properly or you are catapulted by lying around waste while overflowing across the Room, but is nothing world-moving and can be on the current State of Development Will certainly be forgiven.
All in all, a successful Title that deserved a little more Attention. The new, unused Concept and the successful technical Implementation convince me to make a clear Buy recommendation For The Chemist.
Pro:-refreshing new Concept-contemporary graphics-matching background music-good performance-dynamic Background Story-a very dedicated Developer-Price Contra:-smaller Bugs-difficulty level-steep learning Curve Addendum: The Difficulty level Once you have "incorporated" something, it seems to be quite appropriately chosen. The sandbox mode currently in The works will certainly make it easier for new Players to Get Started.
Addendum 2: Sandbox mode has now been implemented and leaves nothing to Be desired.
