About

The End of the World is a side-scrolling exploration game for the broken hearted. Set in Newcastle, England, you play a lonely man in a world that ended when he lost his love. By living day by day and in the past you unravel the circumstances that led to the end of the world, and maybe a way to move on. Essentially this is a break up game.

The End of the World by Sean Wenham reviews and comments

At the beginning it may seem something more adventurous and fun, as the classics point and click, but unfortunately I was a little disappointed that it is quite poor as content, lasts little, you understand little and nothing, from lover of all kinds of game, from very game to Point and click, but this I did not like, because it is simply a love story told. You Don't have many choices, and this leads to too linear a story. 3 stars for the engagement, but I don't like it.

It is true the game lasts very little, a poor half hour perhaps, and it is also true that there is no gameplay as it is a linear story. Calling it a game is perhaps a bit misleading, but surely the goal that the developer has set has been achieved, to be able to prove the same anguish that proves the protagonist to the player. Sublime Music, brushwork to say the least spectacular and emotionally engaging environments. Perhaps Some ten minutes of history in the most would not have spoiled, but even so the message passes.

This is a completely narrative and interactive game, nothing better to relax and enjoy the history and the very successful environment. The interactive gameplay is however quite frustrating, we would like to interact more but we leave only very little freedom of action (I found it incredible not to be able to interact with the couch and TV when you are in the apartment of the hero by example) otherwise, we should not stop at the very short lifespan, it is by restarting the game and forgetting the rigid interactive side that one manages to focus and become more sensitive to the history and the environment. Conclusion: launch yourself and enjoy an original video game experience for only €1

The Design is very nice, so is the Design and the Music. However, the "Game" was, so to speak, that you get up, ride down with your elevator, enter the nearest door or so, briefly see the Past, click on a Picture and sware up you are back in Bed and get back up and so on. The Description says you can see how the Relationship broke and why it was better, but I didn't see any of it. Just get up last Time, can you see them with a Suitcase in front of the burning one? See Elevator. Before, it was all normal Scenes of a Relationship. In any case, I have a lot of Questions after playing (why is the Apartment disintegrating more and more?) and do not quite understand the Meaning. However, the Loading Times after almost every Interaction also annoy very much. Nevertheless, just a nice Presentation and sometimes something else. :)
