The Escape (itch) (dev.play.repeat)

The Escape is a local multiplayer co-op/pvp 2.5D side scroller game with just one level. It was created during the GitHub Game Off Jam 2020. 
The player who will arrive the space rocket entrance door first at the end will win this game. But fighting alone could be hard. The elevator at the end which will bring you to the rocket entrance will only start if both players are on the elevator. One exception: if one player is already dead, it will start with just one player.

If one player dies during the game, the other player has the chance to shoot his way to the rocket which will flight him/her to the moon.

If time is up, both players die.

So choose your tactic wisely...

Controls

The game is optimized for controllers, but can also be used with the keyboard. The XBox 360 controller was tested, other controllers could work, but maybe with an other button configuration. This is the configuration for the XBox 360 controller:

W - UP
S - DOWN
A - LEFT
D - RIGHT
SHIFT - RUN
SPACE - JUMP
E - SHOOT
R - RELOAD
