About

The sky has flickered and gone out. Only The Light can keep us safe.

And you can't stay down there in the depths of the bunker. The food is gone and the power can't last much longer, either. Those things out there in the dark will only take so long to find their way in... It's time to go outside and face what's waiting for you out there. Maybe then you can go into The Light, like the others.

THE LIGHT KEEPS US SAFE is a procedurally-generated apocalypse in which only The Light can save us. Use stealth and evasion to avoid terrifying machines that patrol the desolate world, and employ the powers of Light to unpick their deadly traps.

Featuring these terrifying and entertainingly bleak things:

  • Unique light-based interactions and challenges!
  • A sprawling world of stealth, survival, and exploration from the makers of SIR, YOU ARE BEING HUNTED and THE SIGNAL FROM TÖLVA.
  • Horrifying and aggressive alien-machine enemies!
  • Fiendish traps and disturbing hostile environments.
  • A procedurally-generated environment, different for each playthrough.
  • A grim sense of existential threat (because we're good at that sort of thing...)
  • No crafting though, because we find that a bit dull tbh. Sorry!
  • A tremendous sense of satisfaction in overcoming certain doom. You want that feeling, don't you? It's a good feeling.

Product received for free Early Access Review 🔥 First look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yMLuf-czWQ 💡 ADD RUSSIAN LANGUAGE, PLEASE! | ADD RUSSIAN LANGUAGE! 💡 The Light Keeps Us Safe-a grim stealth action in a futuristic apocalypse enviroment. Machines rebelled, people hid in bunkers, and then went to the light. Everything but the main character. But the food stocks are over and he also needs to leave. That's the plot. Around a huge number of robots and mechanisms-some do not move, some move (go, fly). The Character has a huge lantern, which needs to be improved-with this, in fact, and associated with the entire gameplay. We need to explore the world in search of components to improve the lantern. More Honestly, I didn't understand anything:). Performed the game qualitatively, control convenient, looks good. Sounds sometimes don't work very well-it always seems that someone is walking around us. Training is primitive. When getting in the open world, you do not understand anything. Where to go, where to get the components, what to do with different mechanisms-all this is known only by trial and error. As I understand, you just have to go somewhere hoping to find something:). The Game is not bad, but very monotonous-just crawl around the world, hiding from the robots. I Recommend the game to those who like similar gameplay. 💘 Invite you to visit me! 🎮 Channel PlayZodi: https://www.youtube.com/PlayZodi 📣 public VK: https://vk.com/playzodi_official_group

Early access review a promising game if developers continue on their momentum. The atmosphere makes me (a little) think of terminator, you know in the future, humans crawl and hide to avoid/escape the terminators and flying units under a twilight sky, Ben here I feel the same impression. I find that the perso moves "not very straight" sometimes but I imagine (I hope) that it will be improved by the output (this is one of the few software that I dared to buy in early access, so many remain in works "eternally" once they have accumulated enough money.....). I loved "Sir you're being hunted" from the same Publisher and this one has a little air (the bottles to throw to divert). Another little concern (Hitbox?), you sometimes get turned on by robots that seem to see you, while they are almost masked by a wall/crate angle and so you can not enlighten them to "pacify" them. Another remark (or I may not have found): one is obliged to target the robot with the lamp permanently (they recover quickly from their deactivation), so we can not look behind us to see where we go backwards. Another bug: Crouching backwards in a descending staircase (so we go back up), we remain stuck after qqs not, you have to get up and then recrouch. Wait again qqs months before you buy if you have doubts, but I think it will be a good game in its genre.
