The Lords of The Earth Flame is a novel game created in the best traditions of interactive fiction and text-based role-playing. Non-linear structure, rich text core, and the “analog” feel of times past are certain to provide unforgettable gaming experience for hours on end.

This attempt to revisit the unduly forgotten genre is a curious challenge and possibly the first step toward a full-scale rebirth of non-linear text-based quests. In the developers' enthusiastic view, modern graphics technology and friendly interface may help interactive fiction spring to a new life and find a well-deserved niche of its own on the modern gaming market.

The game's events take place in a fantasy universe closely resembling the Late Middle Ages. Take up the role of a guide to a trade caravan that—by a twist of fate—finds itself in a mountain cave. Your efforts to get out lead you to mysterious ruins, entering which may result in losing more than just your life…

Game features:

- atmospheric parchment-scroll interface;
- intricate non-linear plot;
- mood-setting soundtrack;
- replay value;
- more than 5 different endings.

The Lords of the Earth Flame reviews and comments

The Lords of the Earth Flame-an adventure text-based role-playing game in which you are expected to make a lot of choices, which will depend on the fate of both your character and his companions. The Plot of the adventure is not in the way and you can walk in safety to your goal in just a few minutes, and die in different ways. The gameplay Itself is not much different from an interactive book-we read the text, make a decision, choosing one of several options for the development of events, and look at the result. There is no house with cubes or frost with calculations of indicators, everything is simple and understandable. The Plot is quite confusing and interesting, do not forget that the most obvious solution is not always the most correct. Graphically The game is framed in the form of an open book, which is quite natural for a test role-playing game, on the left are The arches, and the right text. The Arts though black and white, but quite beautiful and worthy, the soundtrack is also quite good and quite appropriate. Pros of the game: + A good story with a lot of endings, some quite unexpected + replay + beautiful design and Artas + Good soundtrack + well-researched world and characters (there is even a map and glossary) + there is Russian localization + there Achievements and collectible cards Cons of the game:-No full-screen mode Good tube text role-playing game for fans of this genre, also suitable for all fans of role-playing games with an interesting storyline.

Took this game on the autumn sale for 38 p. Also bought the soundtrack. Which, as then it was possible and not to buy-all music, only without tags, is in the root directory of the game, and in the format ". wav". Well, yes fig with it, has thanked the composer for good, very atmospheric, music. I Love short games-sketches, visual novels, where there are different twists and turns of the plot and the ending. So that this game-story meets all my requests. Pros: + Plot. The Story is very colorful, reminiscent of some of the stories of G. Lovecraft, though remote. Despite The fact that the story is quite kortokaja, it has a lot of twists of the plot, and here really almost every decision determines the turn of the plot and leads to one of five (not counting the failed) endings, some of which are very unusual and original. + Atmosphere. The History, thanks to music and design, gloomy-beautiful, but at the same time dangerous world, turns out to be very atmospheric, memorable and colorful. + Visual design. Above all praise, it is still to make an animation of paging pages of the book and it would be just perfect. Separately pleased with the illustrations, performance in a memorable style. Neutral: +/-Duration. This story with all the endings and achievements is passing for an hour or two, which is a huge plus for me, but for others it may not be so. +/-Glossary. Though from it it is possible to learn additional information about characters and places, and also to see arches and a map of the world, in it among other things it is possible to stumble on spoilers (if not all endings are opened and all achievements are not received). It would be very good if the glossary appeared up-to-date information that would already be known to the player. Cons:-Technical side. The Game supports only one of its screen resolution (1280 x 720), which can not be changed, it is not today is good. So, Grades: 1. Gameplay: 6/10 2. Plot: 8/10 3. Atmosphere: 8/10 4. Visual design 8/10 _____________ Total: 7/10 P.S. I hope the respected creators of this story in the future will delight us with something in the same spirit and format.
