The game moves between 8-bit and 16-bit art styles, allowing the player to move between the two by going forward or backwards in time. As a demon army besieges his village, a young ninja ventures through a cursed world, to deliver a scroll paramount to his clan’s survival. What begins as a classic action platformer soon unravels into an expansive time-traveling adventure full of thrills, surprises, and humor.
This game is pure beauty. I had so much fun while playing it and completed last night, now I don't know what to do. It's not a simple pixel art game, it has so many details, twists, a great story behind. I hope Sabotage and Devolver make a sequel for The Messenger!
