The Nightland

This is the land of eternal night!

The sun has died and the Earth was enveloped in dense darkness laden with frightening creatures. Only the mythological Fortified City represents a safe heaven in this cursed land. Unfortunately, few are welcomed within its holy walls: only the first who reaches it will find the doors wide open... the others will wander in darkness, forever.

THE NIGHTLAND is a "board + video" game for COMMODORE 64 inspired by the works of William Hope Hodgson and Otto Wlazlo's dungeon-synth album released by Heimat der Katastrophe. You'll need 6-sided dice and pawns (not included) to play. The pawns start from outside the quadrant and advance rolling the die. You control your character while the C64 brings to life your opponent and the desolate land with all its strange creatures.

The download features the game in floppy disk format (D64), a "print-to-play" board (PDF) and a fancy README file with instructions.
