The Polynomial - Space of the music reviews

Considered by a space shooter, for a series of musical animations or for a simple technical demo, the polynomial is one of those games that forces you to be subjective nothing to describe it. Basically, the game consists of a succession of space arenas in which you are set to shoot an infinite horde of PAC-man and other harmless critters. Very light in content, do not expect an epic space-opera, this is a small game, at first glance arcade. But this is not without knowing the main interest of the game: the music. The game has 2 peculiarities. The first is that the game has no end. Having no history, you will have to finish a part of the Plynomial either by manually leaving the game, or by having it planted. Let me explain. The game is actually equipped with a scoring system that will increase to the number of enemies eliminated. The shooting commands are simple, the moves are done in the first person (in the image of a phantom camera) and you can fully customize the game controls (on the keyboard or the joystick), just like the game arenas, the options, in short, a real "space sandbox". Only this: to each enemy eliminated, others appear, more and more numerous. If you aim for scoring, the only limit of the game is therefore your PC itself, which will be led to display a pharaminous number of PAC-man wanting to make you skin. Fortunately, the move to another arena makes all enemies disappear so the crash is circumparable ^^ but it is with the second peculiarity of the game that the polynomial takes its full meaning: the music. In fact, the space arenas, made up of hundreds of thousands of particles, animate, to the rhythm of the music, and especially to its bass. It is then that a whole space hitherto frozen is animated in waves of particles of all colors, thus giving a very psychedelic and abstract side to the game. Personally I see in this game a strong artistic potential, as a painting animating to the rhythm of your music. For Yes, although the basic music is nice, the possibilities of being able to integrate your own playlist immediately gives the game a very personalized interest... but also creative! You are free to find the perfect animation for your sound-base electro that spits your bass or to travel in a rain of constellations listening to Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. The possibilities are therefore limitless, to you on the right line of a Rez or child of Eden, the polynomial is a small sensory game addressed mainly to lovers of music and image, the kind of UFO that can be bored one after 5 minutes and make emerwatch another for several hours, depending on the affinity that the player has with the music and his visual interpretation.
