The Royal Game Of Ur (Guraoz)
About
is a two-player strategy race board game.
Find a friend, create a game, tell them your game's name and start playing! GameplayThe player who creates the game will be playing BLUE and the second player will play RED.
BLUE will start the game and have the first turn.
The aim of the game is to get all your pebbles home.
Individual tiles
Both BLUE and RED have their own starting and finishing tiles. These are safe tiles and your opponent will never step on them.
Some tiles when landing on them grant extra turn, indicated by the rotating arrow icon.
Middle rowIndicated by a different color, these tiles are contested by both parties.
If one of the players rolls an exact number that would land on a tile which is already occupied by their opponent, they can knock them off, making the opponent's pebble get moved back all the way to their tray.
The extra turn tile on the middle row is a PROTECTED TILE.
Meaning, if BLUE has a pebble on it, RED can not knock it off, nor land on it and vica versa.
The dice is essentially a number from 0 to 4 (inclusive).
It's good to know however, the most likely throws are in this order: 2, 3, 1, 4, 0.
- You'll need to throw EXACT to go out (land on home).
- You can move any of your pebbles, and you can occupy a tile for as long as you like.
- If you can move, but you pass turn to keep an advantage, that's just BM..
- There are 7 pebbles for each player, first to 7, wins.
- If you wish to know your opponent's throw, you can mouse over the dice to reveal it.
- You can use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
