What is this?

A visual representation adaptating Joseph Campbell's Monomyth .

What's that?

In 1949 Joseph Campbell published A Hero With A Thousand Faces, from which comparative mythology and the monomyth, or The Hero's Journey, gained popularity. 

The Hero's Journey has influenced some of the most celebrated media creations in modern times, such as George Lucas' Star Wars, Magic: The Gathering's The Weatherlight Saga,  the sixth and final season of Lost, Richard Adams' Watership Down, Dan Harmon's Community, and Christopher Vogler's The Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure For Writers which grew from a guideline for scriptwriter's in Disney productions.

However, The Hero's Journey is heavily rooted in archaic notions of gender, religion, and psychology. In translating and updating this text we offer a different structure for mythopoesis - myth-making.
