The Slime's Return

Come test our 2D platformer called The Slime's Return. This 6 week project (two person team) is for our Masters Degree and we greatly appreacite the time and effort to play and provide feedback for this project using the Google Forms link found below!

We are looking for feedback with regards to the combat and movement systems within the game.

Side note: Please note, this is NOT the final game and alot of the art is placeholder and not complete yet (especially the environment art)! Some features are not yet implemented either!

Abit about The Slime's Return:

Every 100 years, a hero is selected to venture forth into the caves to slay the Prime Slime and stop them from spilling from the broken earth below. Failing in this quest will result in the world meeting a slimy demise. Even with their cute charming looks, they are not what they seem.

• The Slimes Return is a pixel 2D side scrolling , precise platformer, in which the player must utilize the variety of movement mechanics to explore and evade traps throughout the map. 
• Play as Poppy, and harness her prowess and strength to kill the Prime Slime, and it’s cute slimy minions to save the entire world from a gooey doom.  Poppy is a florist from the nearby village which she has been called to fight for - since the last hero failed and plunged the world into a slime filled doom!

Control Scheme:

This information is also found ingame in the Pause menu.

• Move = A & D
• Crouch = S
• Jump = Space
• Double Jump = Space x2
• Melee Attack = Left Mouse Button
• Pause = ESC

Issues We Are Aware Of:

• Right Mouse Button input makes the player character disappear
• No exit from one of the secret side rooms
• Flickering background lines
