The Staff is set within the 10th century and during the peak of the middle ages, where the world appeared bleak and the use of magic, spells and tales of demons were more than just folk tales, but a reality for all who lived during this time. The overall game design; including visual design and audio design, has been aimed to emote a player experience that will provide them with excitement, wonder, frustration at the enemies and also intrigue at the game world they are exploring.
