The Town of St. Exton

In this game, you play as Selena, a cat that protects the town from evil.   It is widely known that only cats can see Evil Spirits that come out on St. Exton's Night to reap the souls of festivalgoers.  With your trusty bow and a stock of Spirit Arrows, help Selena defeat the forces of evil and prevent mass panic.

~ Villagers ~

The Villagers have put together a festival in honor of St. Exton, a great wizard that has protected the village for ages.  His Shrines are rumored to have the power to help guide lost souls back to their rightful places.  Villagers cannot see or hear Evil Spirits, but they are terrified of Ghosts, and will panic if they see one.  If a vast majority of the town is panicking (as indicated by the panic meter at the bottom of the player's screen), the Evils Spirits win, and the night repeats.

~ Ghost ~

Ghosts are the lost souls of former Villagers, doomed to wander the town lost and confused.  Villagers are terrified of Ghosts, and will panic if they see one.  Selena can swipe at a Ghost (left click) with her bow to collect it.  Later, Ghosts collected this way can be taken to one of several Shrines to return the lost souls to their former bodies, thus restoring the corresponding Villagers back to normal.

~ Evil Spirit ~

Evil Spirits come out during St. Exton's Night to hunt Villagers as they are celebrating their festival.  Villagers cannot see Evil Spirits.  Upon reaching a Villager, an Evil Spirit will rip its soul from its body, turning the Villager into a Ghost.  As more and more Ghosts start roaming the town, the overall panic of the town increases, increasing the chance that the night will repeat again, giving the Evil Spirits another night on which to feast on souls.  An Evil Spirit can be instantly destroyed with a well-aimed Spirit Arrow (right click), but are immune to everything else in the physical realm.

~ Shrines ~

All throughout the town, Villagers have erected Shrines to St. Exton.  The Shrines are rumored to have the powers of restoration, capable of restoring lost souls to their bodies.  Collect Ghosts and drop them off at a Shrine to reunite the souls of Villagers with their bodies, reducing the panic level in the town.

 ~ Spirit Wisp ~

Collect Spirit Wisps to increase the amount of Spirit Arrows you have in your quiver.  Selena only starts with one Spirit Arrow, so she will have to explore the town, searching for Spirit Wisps in order to fight the Evil Spirits.

Post - Jam Updates:

Fixed an issue where the audio was not initializing on non-editor builds and causing errors in the build version
Wired up the title screen/main menu
Fixed a few issues with the villager's wonky animation
Fixed a few perf issues by having the villagers not raycast/spherecast on every frame
Fixed a few visual issues with the dialogue system (text going out of frame, sizing, too many dialogues at once, etc).
Changed the gameover/victory screens to have a way to take you back to main screen
Balanced some audio clip noise
Wired up missing sound effects for shrine/jumppads
Lowered starting arrow count 10 -> 1 as the game was too easy to win
Added a few easter eggs outside the bounds of the level
