The Trees Can Bleed

Description

The Trees Can Bleed is a  top-down twin-stick shooter with a traversable forest map set on December 24th somewhere near the arctic circle. You play as Kris Kringle as he goes on a last-minute hunting trip before his duties on Christmas Day.

The game takes place in 6 minute runs representing the three time periods of dawn, day and dusk, each of which will provide a different challenge with new enemy types and placements. Your goal is to achieve the highest possible score within the time limit while keeping Kris safe from the prey which choose to fight back.

Beware the forest at dusk.

SPACE to dash

LEFT MOUSE to fire

MOUSE SCROLL WHEEL to cycle weapons

ESCAPE to open the pause menu

Note - This project was made from scratch in the span of 5 days as a personal challenge and will not be receiving any further updates, so some instability should be expected.
