The Undying Plague reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from French
By making a steam badge, I got a discount of 90% on this game, which left it at 30 cents, so necessarily I bought it, hoping that it would be drinkable. The undying plague is simply a game where you have to survive waves of zombies, which could have passed with originality, which unfortunately the game does not possess. You have a life gauge and an energy gauge (for the Sprint). You start with dual Berettas, weapon really not very effective because of the fact that you do not shoot directly in front of you, but 2 low power bullets to your left and to your right. When you face the first wave, you'll see that the killed zombies will occasionally release money or ammunition, sometimes even both. But right now, we see one of the main difficulties of the game: the money does not fit quickly enough in the pockets, which can force you to stay with the Berettas until wave 4, weapon which I repeat is very inefficient. From $1000, you will be able to purchase a Magnum, the first effective weapon you can buy. It shoots in a straight line, kills the little zombies in 1 shot and can even cross the zombies to be able to kill several zombies in one bullet. However, you will soon realize that to have a chance, you have to farm in the waves with the big zombies (since while they are alive, the little zombies appear repetitively) since the next weapon is at $5000, which is huge. And, of course, the zombie waves are getting too strong in relation to your armament. But the place where the game tries to be innovative is by its system of levels, which we do not see often. You will be able to improve skills, such as damage inflicted or speed. Only 2 problems appear: the move to the next level is slow and 1 point dropped in a skill only improves it by 2%, and you only have 2 points per level up. With all these clues, one can very clearly see that the game relies on a loyalty basis: If you do not play more than 2H, you can uninstall this game. But beware, some will say that if the graphics are beautiful, they can endure a few hours of gameplay... Well, imagine that the graphics are ugly. It is possible that they are made so as to resemble the old games of the era of the NES, or of the first PC, but all I see is graphics made without minagement on paint. The zombies are ugly, the corpses are ugly, the weapons are moches, the décor is lousy... And as if that wasn't enough, the controls aren't editable, condemning you to stay at the QWERTY keyboard, which may annoy some. And for some reason, when you walk your mouse through the main menu, you'll find that the mouse movement is strange, which will also be the case for your character during the game. Oh yes, your character's controls too are not terrible. In conclusion, this game could be more interesting with better graphics, a less growing difficulty, a more generous game on the money and on the XP and the addition of new original things. For now, this game just looks like a game made in a few days on game maker. Even having disbursed only 30 cents in this game, I feel scammed.
