The Way reviews and comments

Beautiful and slightly emotional Game that makes you feel like you'Re playing a current "Another World." Hope for a second Part!

A really successful Game. In Places it is quite difficult but all in all to play well. I can only recommend it further.

An atmospheric Platformer with a dull beautiful sci-fi story and tricky logic puzzles, some of which require Skill. Fans of Another World will also love The Way.

Anyone who loves Another World, Flashback, Heart of Darkness, etc will love this Game too. The Game is worth every Penny. The Developer helps with Problems very quickly, whether it's here in the Forum or via a Help Desk. Great Atmosphere, super Puzzles. With me, it was Love at first Sight anyway:D

I don't know what to say. Finally a worthy "Successor" to Flashback and Another World. The Puzzles are demanding and not so easy to see. The Atmo, as with the Classics, is simply terrific. Soundtrack, short Story and the Heart-made levels just knock you around! ++++++

An absolutely ingenious game. That from begin on, has me tied up right away. I have to say it is at some places difficult and a bit puzzling. However, after 5 times I died or so did not have been to switch off because it made me so worried, but because it only made me more curious about what comes after. For anyone who is into pixel Games, this is a really good Game.

The Way is incredibly good! ... In my younger Years I was already fascinated by Flashback on the SNes without End and this Game puts a good Latte on top of it. The Puzzles are fantastic, exhausting but can also be created without Help. The Graphics and Ambience are beautiful. The Sound goes into the Blood and the Story got me away with it without End. For a pleasant Run With the most achievements I Needed about 9 h. A Big Thank you to the Developers and we want to see more!

What a wonderful Game! It is probably best described with "Metroid meets Impossible Mission with a drop of Another world." A retro challenge that is rarely so well implemented. In some Places it is hard and you have to have the Serenity of the Gamers who grew up in the 80s, and also do not give up when they try the same Place to the 30th Man. But the Game is YOU fair and with every Try you get a piece further, get a little better. Exactly THAT drives you through the Game. Just like the beautifully tragic Backstory, which is told quite Decently with Notes and short In-game cut scenes as Memories. Don't be put off by the simple 16Bit Graphic. It just looks gorgeous and atmospheric in many Places. One Of the best Indie Games I've bought in the last 5 Years!
The Way is a game for these YouTube masochists who take too difficult games and suffer playing them. I’m not the one. I want the gameplay to be smooth and comfortable, not frustrating. This game attracted me with its visuals - and they are really amazing but the gameplay makes me crazy. I can’t recommend a game that has awesome graphics, sounds and puzzles but which is completely broken inside.
The game is over-puzzled, and I like it. It should be completed without hints or guides from YouTube, trust me, you’ll be proud, when you finish the game yourself. The gameplay is enjoyable, even fights want you to think, the balance between puzzles and battles is great. The game looks and sounds awesome, and feels like a dedication to old classic platformers. The maps are too short, though, but this is not a huge problem. I wonder what is the second ending of the game but not ready to solve the same puzzles again. Highly recommended if you are a platformer guy and love retro-like games.
