This Book Will Burn
About
Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink behind the lake,
The shadows lengthen
In Carcosa
You are one of the many beings known as Cassilda.
Your original identity clings to you in scraps.
You were a person once, with a human mother and a human history.
At least, you were until you read the wrong page of a book or heard the wrong piece of a lyric or saw the wrong advertisement for a play out of the corner of your eye while hurrying down the street.
You have been absorbed, like every other Cassilda, into the structure of this damnable play---written by itself and ruled by its own self-insert character author.
Every night, you wear dresses and stand in the ballroom and watch through the windows as twin suns are dragged beneath the black waters of lake Hali.
And every night a stranger arrives by barge from the lake, and the angels infesting your palace tear you asunder.
No more.
Tonight---the last tonight in this endless cyclical kaleidoscope of tonights---you will kill Carcosa.

This Book Will Burn is an experimental ttrpg in which you attack and dethrone one very particular god.
It contains a content warning for themes of identity and volition-horror, and also two tactical drops of the F-bomb.
Please don't actually kill your GM.
