Timewinding

A game made in one week by Harold Kwan for the 2020.2 Brackeys Game Jam.

Theme: Rewind

Design

The art style for the game is heavily inspired by BlackThornProd, and the rewind mechanics are inspired by the character "Ekko" from League of Legends.  Sound effects are made with SFXR.

Gameplay

A classic platformer with a simple goal: get to the end of the level. The twist: there are no checkpoints along the way, which means that the only way for you to fix your mistakes is to rewind back to where you were before you fall to your death.

Controls

A/D or Left/Right Arrow Keys to move horizontally, W, Up Arrow Key or Space to jump, Left Shift to rewind and holding jump while rewinding will let you gain more height.
