Tower of Time reviews

Tower of Time is a nice, small Mix Of Role-playing And Dungeon Crawlers from Polish Developer Event Horizon. Although small is also relative, after All, according to Steam, I got to 69 Hours. On a Journey through the Tower, you control Your Ever-expanding Hero force over 11 Floors, solving a few more or less simple Puzzles and fighting your way through Hordes of Enemies. The Latter is one of the two Highlights of the Game. The Fights take place in Real time in an isometric Perspective, but you have the Choice to pause the Game at the touch of a button and give orders or Let the Fight continue in Slow Motion. If you don't drive the Role-playing part, that is, the Handling Of the Attributes and Skills, completely to the Wall, then you can already experience good fights on Normal or Heavy. On the epic Level Of difficulty, it is advisable to deal with the Values and really actively use the Skills in Battle. Often a Fight at the highest Level of Difficulty quickly went out unhappily, but for that the Sense of Victory is all the better. The other Highlight is the History and Drawing of the World. It starts very shallow And it took me time to get into the World and in between some Dialogues and Documents were a bit tough. But for the fact that the Game only takes place in this Tower it paints a very vivid Picture of the World around it. So good that I would like to have a Game with a big World to be able to visit all the areas mentioned. So are the Characters. All Figures who do not have to hide from Those from Divinity: Original Sin, Baldur's Gate or Even Final Fantasy. I always found the Story itself interesting. Unfortunately, something is negative. The Game does not look like a High-end role-playing Game, but often started to jerk. In addition, it usually took about a Second to open the Inventory or the Diary. That doesn't sound like much, but you often do actions like that and that's where it just stands out. On the other Hand again, the Soundtrack was melancholy beautiful. The Game costs only €20 and is absolutely recommended. Thumbs up.

I haven't played the Game really long yet, but I still want to give a positive Review at this Point. You just notice what you're into quite quickly-namely at a very pretty, coherent and atmospherically staged, classic RPG a la Baldur's Gate. Graphics, Music, Voice Acting, Performance and art Style are easy here. You can clearly see that the Developers have put their Hearts into Here. The Menus are very clear and modern, but at the same time they still look classic. For an RPG, this is actually the perfect Combo. The Talent Trees are certainly nothing New for RPG players, but in my Opinion they stand out because of the Clarity and the Radio Ionality. The Combat System ... It is interesting and fun! For me, anyway. When you encounter an Opponent group, you are loaded into a separate battle map by loading screen, similar To Final Fantasy, for example. After that, you actually realize quite quickly that the Key to victory is not the brainless Onslaught of the Mobs, but the Tactical Forward planning and, above all, the Positioning of the controllable Characters. The basic Combat System is likely to be familiar to some MOBA players, namely with the Skills on the Q, W, E and so on keys. In my Opinion, it is particularly cool that you can draw "Trajectories" with various Skills, for example, that you can use a Skill to draw the exact Path of a Stone wall, behind which you can then take Cover. The Story is also very interesting, the Story of the Hero who wants to save the World is nothing really New in itself. Still, in my Opinion, the story incline comes across very well here. There's one thing I'd really still want for the Game: Even more Voice Acting! At the Moment it is still the case that only during the Cinematics (which btw are beautiful to look at:)) Voice Acting can be heard. The Speaker does a really good Job, so much is certain. And I would also like to see the Same from the Dialogues outside the Cinematics if they were set to music. All in all, I can really recommend this Game to anyone who wants a modern and at the same time classic, atmospheric RPG With a good Combat System!
