Early Access Review What I can say about this game at this point. I would like to make a positive review because I see potential, but I have serious doubts after having played what, for the moment, is playable. TRANSCEND is a game made by a single person, who has spent two years has completed 4 chapters of 11. And Here's the first problem: The 4 chapters last you half an hour, while the playable aspect is minimal (almost everything is text), and nothing happens, or change much of scenery. I Do Not know if the rest of chapters will have much more content, but if in 2 years has only managed to program something so very simple and brief, say that next year will have the rest and I do not know how many worlds, I do not see probable.
I love the color and the graphic design, it is very nice. The animation is simple, but the set is very showy and there are enough details to endow it with a lot of life. The Sound Part also seemed remarkable, in its musical part. As for the script, it is not misspelled but everything is so brief that it does not give time to get an idea of whether it will be something more than "You are a spirit warrior and you have to train."
In The game you walk, you take some object (if you want), you equip objects from the inventory (very simple but functional) and combat. The fight is not bad, but in 4 chapters only fights with a character, in very little space, and does not give time to get to the idea of whether it will work beyond (with several enemies, if it is varied, what kind of skills will be, if you can evolve the character in different ways s). The rest of the time is to talk with two or three characters, choose between two possible answers and that's it.
In Short, right now I see it too short and limited, and if they are 4 chapters of 11 I do not just see how it can become more than a little game. In the comments of the developer I see much more ambition, even in a video, of what seems to be the game. In Addition, it should have sought some form of more powerful financing (a Kickstarter, for example) to hire more people and have done before, as two years for half an hour of play does not seem a good idea.
Still, although I have serious doubts about the future of the project, I like what I see and I want to encourage the creator. But Currently, I can not recommend the game unless you call a lot of attention or want to support it.
I put a "thumbs up" because it is in development, but it deserves, for the moment, a negative. It Depends how the development goes, I'll change this.
