Take Your First Step into a Larger World of Star Wars

The creative minds of Lucasfilm’s ILMxLAB present a virtual reality experiment set in a galaxy far, far away…Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine. For the first time ever, wield a lightsaber as you leap into action in the most immersive Star Wars virtual reality experience ever. Be transported to the desert world of Tatooine, repair the iconic Millennium Falcon, and defend the plucky droid hero R2-D2 from incoming stormtroopers in this captivating experience set after the events of Return of the Jedi.

Usage Notes

Trials on Tatooine uses a single controller. We support both 5.1 surround and headphone audio, pick the setting with the icon on the intro screen for your configuration.
Trials on Tatooine approaches photo-realistic quality and requires a powerful computer. The quality setting on the left of the introduction screen should default to the correct setting for your system. If you drop frames try setting the quality knob one lower. In general, a minimum spec computer will run on the lowest setting while a fast computer with an Nvidia Titan X GPU will run on the highest setting. Trials on Tatooine also supports SLI and will automatically render on two GPU’s if available.

And i thought ILM has the best talents in the world? .... But in this demo you can't see anything about that! ... Maybe they should stay in VFX and dont tray to make VR Expiriances?😉. I think my students can do in one week (with the U4 Engine) a better job than this. 😂

Naze, graphically it is blurry and degueulasse. The content lasts 5min, there is absolutely nothing happening if it is a 2min pass that becomes very boring in a few seconds when one has to return Blaster shots with a lightsaber. In short it is free and fortunately!

EINFACH ONLY GEIL! I'm a huge Star Wars Fan and that was unbelievable. Just unfortunately TO KURZ! There is a minimum Room Size here, but despite Warning it is possible to play with the minimally Space of 1.5m x 2m. However, you can't press the necessary Buttons, but after a short Time this is done automatically. You could certainly make a nice Story experience Game out of this. EA is just standing there in the way ... To conclude: PROBIERT ES AUS! OB FAN OR NOT!

Short, very very short and not much to do. You just press some buttons to "repair" the millenium falcon, you get the lightsaber to deflect some shots and that's it. You don't feel involved at all. Unfortunately, it's not even fun. The only impressive thing is watching the Millenium Falcon landing in front of you. One annoying thing, each time you deflect a shot from the stormtroopers, you get a "flash" that blinds you, litterraly. It's fudging your eyes up. I heard they are planning more demos like this, I just hope that they get more ambitious.

Hello I was able to play once a "trails of tatoine" in good conditions with my oculus rift, since impossible to play with without changing the properties of the game in compatibility mode with Windows 7 and as an administrator. If I do not do this, the oculus controller is not recognized, and the menu at the start of the game is so high that I can not reach it. When the game is launched in compatibility mode with Windows 7 everything becomes normal again, but this one is jerky. yet I have no problems with all my VR applications in steam or oculus rift.

For all Star Wars Fans a must, unfortunately a bit short, after 5 Minutes the Fun is already over, but it costs nix, so you shouldn't complain. It gives a brief Impression of what might once become a Star Wars Single-player VR game in the Future, with a Campaign of perhaps 10h, that would be a Dream. For all Rift users who have Problems with Height, simply activate the SteamVR beta and then carry out the Room Survey Again, then there should actually be no more Problems, works impeccably with the Rift CV1. May the force be with you.
