What was this game made for ?

TyPolynesia is a game we made for the Video Games Lab Game Jam 2021, hosted by the french YouTuber At0mium. The theme of the jam was Arcade which made me think about the time when high scores were a thing and where you had to be the best in order to save as much coins as you can haha 😊

What is Ty Polynesia ?

It's and endless runner in which you have to go as far as possible and collect as much purple orbs as you can to get the highest score possible. In order to move from one block to another, you have to type the corresponding letter of the block with your keyboard. The character can only go left or right and up or down. No diagonals.

Who made Ty Polynesia ?

This game was made in 18h hours by a team of three people:

• Moerani Flohr aka Jamong (click here to see his YouTube channel) made all the graphical arts of the game except for the ocean and the crate which were taken from the Unreal Engine Marketplace.
• Manoa Salmon (click here to see his YouTube channel) recorded all the sound effects and made all the musics of the game.
• Evans Bohl aka Gamedev Teacher (click here to see his YouTube channel) coded everything from scratch using Unreal Engine 4.
