Ultimate General: Gettysburg reviews

This Game makes the Hearts of all Players beat faster who can still remember Sid Meyer's Gettysburg and loved the Game. The Game Mechanics and also the detailed Map are strongly attached to the Classic. Up to this point a short Conclusion of the Beta: Pro: + Very well-functioning Game mechanics without unnecessary Break function, which makes the Game very dynamic. + Units stand out well from the Map and do not seem confusing, even when there are countless Units on the Map. + Very simple Control! The Units can be selected by Mouse and with pressed Left mouse button you can mark the Path that Units are supposed to take. + Repetitive Refreshing graphics. + decent Sounds + Multiplayer in Prospect! + The Battle of Gettysburg takes place in several Phases and unit strength remains during the Phase Change, which encourages the Troop strength of each Unit to be maintained as much as possible, reflecting the Historical Behaviour of the two Armies during the Civil war. Coming amazingly close. + Historically correct Strengths and Weaknesses for Confederates (better Melee and Morality) and Union (greater Firepower and Range). + Easy entry + The Terrain can (and must) be exploited, E.g. for increased cover In Forests etc. Contra:-not a graphic Revelation-Restricted Scenario (only the Battle of Gettysburg). -The Units cannot be used to zoom in close. All in all, the Game for a Beta Is already very successful and offers every Player a relaxed Game Pleasure, so I can only recommend it! Such a brief Addendum: The patches did the Game good.

Very nice interface, you command the northern or southern troops, battlefields are very realistic. The Gameplay is nice even if sometimes there are some rehearsals. own if you like strategy games in real time.

This game is a great game to play on an iPad. The controls are intuitive amd after a quick tutorial you are on your way. Playing on "normal" is challenging enough and often you adopt the right strategy after losing a battle which makes it fun through learning. The hand drawn art-style is amazing and gets the job done. Go get if if you are fond of strategy games.

I've had this game on my iPad for a few years now and I have to say that I still enjoy playing it. Still, there is no real-time strategy game that has such ingenious control, such good and atmospheric graphics and such good K.I. Hats off, that's really good. For the future, I would like the iOS version to be further developed. Maybe you can indeed implement the current game for Windows for iOS. Well done!!!!

Seduced by the reviews, I tested the game. It is not adapted for iphone! (6s) Everything is too small. So the texts are almost unreadable. The weapons are very small. It is difficult to place the units and we are witnessing the fighting. Apart from the lack of compatibility in fact with iphone, the game has only two campaigns. Where are the skirmishes and the multiplayer? The tutorial takes about 2 minutes (totally useless). The units do not have a good chance: the cannons shoot at parsed riders when they are told to shoot at the gangsters ... Troops can charge, but eventually fire two enemy weapons at a distance (enemy cannons will enjoy a closer run, followed by a brutal stop a few meters away for a total massacre). And, by the way, are there differences between the troops, except for the differences between cavalry, infantry, and cannon? What is the general purpose? We can rotate the units to reorient them, but we do not really know in which direction we have to turn them ... In short the final 5 euros for a game where we do not understand much and on a support not adapted, we regret greatly the purchase!
