About

Vortex: The Gateway is an open world survival horror game with two game modes.

Due to a mysterious dimension vortex you will find yourself on an alien planet. Explore, adapt, build and fight to survive. You will have to face the dangers of the planet at different times of day, at changing temperature, hungry or thirsty. You can explore spectacular and dangerous places where you always remain a prey for the local species. If you want to survive then be alert, sneak, build and fight. Meanwhile life back on Earth changes dramatically. What changes? You will get bits of information through your adventure in the story mode. Maybe you can even get back home...

Vortex: The Gateway reviews and comments

Early Access Review Yes I give the Game a Thumbs up even if it may be a little early for it. However, I decided to give a positive Review because the Feeling in the Game was simply successful. The Soundscapes are really good so you like to look into the Air at the game when you hear the evil threatening circled of the Dragon and run As a precaution sometimes direction forest so that you do not end up as dragon Pupps, the same applies in the first night in The forest where you are desperate A Hiding Place is looking (which is not so easy in the Dark) because any Of the critters let off hideously quikic Noises around you to determine at Sunrise that the Cattle were only harmless Pig Dogs (yes, pig dogs ^^). Of course, there is still a lot to do in such an Alpha Version, so the Campaign is still missing at the moment and they also want to implement even more Population on the Planet as well as more Utensils and Recipes for Making. Also the Control in Combat or in Bamboo, berries etc collect can still use a little fine-tuning. But Since it seems That with storm cube games also developers with some Experience are confident that they will certainly reach the Majority of the Goals set. If you want to have a quick Glimpse into the Game, you can drag my Video in On Youtube. You don't see much yet, as it is the first Day, but it certainly gives you a first Impression of what awaits you. https://youtu.be/N60hCim4g8E

Early Access Review So Far, there's not much to say about the Game, as it hardly has content. You saw and built everything after 15 Minutes, but that, in my Opinion, is really the only negative thing about it. There are a few Bugs here and there, but they don't pose a really big Problem. Still, Runs better than some finished games from EA or Ubisoft. About the Story: There's not much to say either. A Vortex opens on Earth and one is kidnapped by Aliens and exposed to a foreign Planet for some Reason. No, unfortunately this is not a Predators game. Occasionally you also encounter these Aliens (Greys) when at night suddenly one of Your Spaceships appears in the Sky and one of them beams down. If you are more of a Fan of Reptoids: There are also, but they seem to be running around on the new Planet in general and you don't have to wait for a Spaceship first. I killed one of them and tried to eat, but unfortunately that doesn't work (yet). (What is you actually when you eat alien meat? Extraterretarians?) Dickes Plus: The Game looks quite good graphically and runs super liquid on my Premium Potato (GTX580, 12GB Ram). All in all, The Intro and the Story give me a Headache, yet the Game has a lot of Potential. However, if you are looking for hours of Fun, you will not be served here at the Moment. I therefore recommend waiting for the Purchase of the Game. I'll update the Review, of course, when there are new Patches.
