Waverider is an entry into the Basic Shmup Showcase, as hosted by Krystman.

Title Screen

Press X to start in 'normal' mode

Press Z/C to start in 'playtest mode' -a.k.a. Godmode! - I thought I'd provide a way to have folks be able to do a playtest and get all the way through. The real challenge though is to make it through in 'normal' mode :)

Controls

Press X to shoot

Press Y for bomb shot

Up,Down,Left,Right controls the ship

Powerups

Bomb

Will increment the amount of Bomb power, when a bomb shot is released, the amount goes back down to zero. Max amount is 9. If you accumulate more than 9, you'll get an extra life. If your life is full, you'll get 1000 points.

Double Shot  

Will shoot two lasers instead of one, dealing double damage!

Drone  

A small drone will orbit your ship and shoot along with you! Collect up to five!

Extra Life 

Collecting one of these will increase your life by one.
