About

Weird Hero is a humorous and challenging shoot'em up where the hero, SuperMegaDude, battles countless foes with his arsenal of weird weapons: the Flickinator, the Atomic Toaster, a magician's hat and other strange devices.

The world around you has gone mad. You're facing cyborgs from the future, giant anime heads (with eye beams, of course) and an unlikely criminal alliance of Australians, Japanese train robbers, Russian telnyashka-wearing suicide bombers and some biker gangs. What could bring such a diverse crowd together? How do the cyborgs fit in? What about the anime heads? What use is the Flickinator? What's going on?

  • Varied Enemy Types
There are eighteen enemy types, including bikers, Australians, samurai, Russian suicide bombers, giant anime heads and cyborgs from the future. Each of these have their own strengths and weaknesses.

  • Teeth-Clenching Hardcore:
It's going to be a tough ride. To complete the game, you have to master the weird arsenal, know your enemies' weaknesses by heart and learn to evade a torrent of bricks, bullets and shurikens.

  • Weird Weaponry
Seven weapon types, four of which you won't find in any other game. Highlights are the atomic toaster, the magician's hat and the Flickinator. What other game lets you swat enemies aside with a flick of your fingers?

  • Exciting Soundtrack
The energizing Psychobilly music by The Beat Devils is a perfect fit for the overall madness and sets the right mood.

Weird Hero reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Russian
I never realized why Weird Hero was so badly sold. To me, this is quite a worthy representative of his genre. Well Sho, Pros: + Gameplay. Asha, despite a little experience in the game controller, managed to make a balanced, interesting in passing play with adequate complexity (ie, the complexity is not due to, for example, bad management or unbalanced enemies), which someone will pass at once, and someone will be difficult for the "Snot" (as I did in the first 1.5 hours, for example). + Variety. It Can be seen that Ash has put his soul into the game, the enemies here do not differ in one texture, each has its own behavior model, its own attack, its peculiarities. The Weapons are also diverse and original. For example, a revolver with a huge muzzle, two-barrel three-trunk with two barrels, bent at right angles, a magic hat, from which sometimes instead of shells fall rabbits and more. Each level is also radically different from the previous One, each has its own peculiarities and they, moreover, occur in different locations. + As A fan of Asha's creativity, I was glad to see a few of the otsylok to it, especially P * * * a E * * * * * * * * and in the advertising burgers. + Music. Not only that it is great for the game process and the setting itself, the songs Beat Devils themselves are excellent, and a few songs I even added to my playlist. Definitely a plus to the game. Well, without minuses, unfortunately, it was not:-Inability to skip dialogues before the beginning. An Offensive flaw, as in the game, where you have to lose a lot, such a function, you can say, is a must. Here you have to clamp the button and listen to scraps of phrases 5-10 seconds, which slightly knocks off the excitement and desire to pass. Duration. Of Course, Ash raised the game himself, at the training camp he did not collect millions from the Patriots and could not make it lasting hundreds of hours. But for those who passed it without difficulty on the "Hero", it is likely to be too short. I'm not complaining, because I'm still passing the boss to the Hero, not stuttering about the toughest mode. In principle, more minuses I did not reveal, so to controversial moments: + \-Plot. He's here for a check-up, and it's not good, not bad, because he doesn't really need it here. But What is, pleases sometimes funny jokes and support Entourage "wonderful" world. + \-Voice dialogue. I Do not know what exactly to say about it, because not to voice dialogues in general-the game will seem empty, sound completely-probably expensive and besides it would look too serious. But the phrases voiced in the language of Simlish on the one hand support the atmosphere of unseriousness, but on the other, coupled with the inability to skip the dialogues, can quite get the player who lost the sixth time in a row. + \-Drawing. Someone complained about her, but I never realized why. Usual cartoon drawing, not pretending to show at the exhibitions of paintings, but also without any obvious flaws. For one person, who also wrote all the code himself and, as I understood, not engaged in drawing, is very good indeed. Conclusion: A Small but high-quality game, for some reason not accepted at all. If you are a fan of Asha or want to brighten up the evening in moderation hardcore Shutemasom (spend 20 hours trying to pass the level on "Snot"), I definitely recommend you this game.
