Welcome to Hanwell reviews

It tried to be Silent Hill and Outlast and doesn't really nail either of them. Decent enough game though, especially for what is essentially a one-man team if I'm not mistaken.

Beware: Game has a lot of Bugs! Graphics and Sound: Very good. I played through it (but not quite collected all The Collectibles). This Game was really very frustrating because of the Bugs, the Worst I perform here:-I play with the Arrow keys for movement, whenever I pressed Arrow-right, the View switched from 1st person to 3rd person. cruel! Am surprised myself how I was able to keep the Game so much. -In Buildings I could only run about 20m/run fast, from then on the Character was permanently Wheezing and never recovered. After 20m of the Race, so only Creep was the order of the day. Very frustrating!!! It wasn't until I was back out that I was able to Race again. But then: Next Building, self-play from the front! -Outside of Buildings it often happened to me that the "fight music" turned on, which is usually such a 10 Second loop. This one was played over and over again, as there was simply no Opponent to defeat and the Music would have been quiet again. That annoyed me a lot too! Then Have turned the Sound down ...-When Saving, the current Weapon and Time of day is not stored. Actually, only the Inventory and position Of the Character is saved. Games already got better in 1990! -I had found several Batteries for the Flashlight and didn't need a single Battery throughout the Game, my Lamp lasted forever (I had almost always turned it off, only briefly turned on in extremely dark Places). -Otherwise, there were even smaller Bugs, such as, for example, that the Opponents hurled me around and I was hurled through Walls and then died because I fell through the Ground or something ... However, This did not happen so often.

The Demo raised Expectations, the Game annihilated them ... Unfortunately, the Game gives away an enormous amount of Potential. The Unreal Engine 4 makes for a respectable Game, but everything else is gloomy dry in front of it and does not know how to entertain the Player very much. You start in a Morgue and have to be deliberately killed by a Bomb there, just so that the Game can explain to you that they can kill You and You can use it as Traps. Very big Cinema. Then we head out to the open, free-explingable City. The Problem here is, there are only six relevant buildings that You have to examine in order to advance in the Story, you will also find smaller Buildings to enter, but which only serve the generic Purpose of throwing collectibles at you, accompanied by a few Jumpscares. No great Stories about the Residents or anything like that. At the Latest after You have visited the third Space, you already notice, everything repeats itself all the time and gets bored quickly. The Combat System and Weapons are absolutely non-transparent, the Weapons have no Status Values or anything like that to orient Oneself on. I myself have found that a Pan is definitely stronger than, for example, an Axe. And if You are travelling in the City it can be that You like to be taken away by one of the randomly distributed bombs, because no one is constantly looking at the Ground while playing, at the latest after an Hour Of playing The hellish annoys. At the End of the Day, the Game closes through the open World, which can't get anything except get bored of the entire Potential. As an Adventure from A to B it would have made more Sense, but it is precisely this Concept of the open World that creates so much Boredom that Does not arise in the first place. Too bad, I was really looking forward to the Game.
